Worldwide, adaptive paragliding is strong at access — tandems and first flights. What stays thin is solo excellence: high-quality chairs, speed systems, coaching, and a path to fly alongside able-bodied pilots (including sports-class racing).

What the research shows

Tandem / first-flight access is relatively widespread (France densest; strong nodes in AT, UK, US, CA, and elsewhere).
Commercial flight chairs concentrate at Back Bone (France): Handivol + Hand’Expert.
Older UK designs survive mainly in Flyability’s loan pool; U.S. Phoenix chairs were university prototypes.
No marketed chair was found advertising integrated competition speed systems or SRS-oriented packages.
Adaptive competition today runs parallel (e.g. Wheels4Flying meetups, nascent FFVL handi championship) — not inside open sports-class series.

Gap we care about: a marketed speed-system / SRS-ready solo performance chair still barely exists.

School

An adaptive flying school aimed at real progression — Colombia as the primary site, with Maui / Hawaiʻi as a possible second node. Not a replacement for excellent tandem orgs; a path toward autonomy and performance.

Origins

The name honors a living story: pilots and friends who help people get back in the air. We credit Veso Ovcharov, Fly the Earth, and the film Fly Again — a Hawaii visit that helped reopen the sky for wheelchair pilot Daniel Velasco.
